For this I would like to have a vocal track separate if available from the beat so I can ensure that both are at right levels to pull tones out and if wanting a certain sound send a reference track for me to capture. There are 2 different ways I sample a song I find. The first is I make it a drum pad that lays out over the keyboard, the 2nd is to phrase sample either rhythmicly or vocally, so it’ll be a melody style chop or a vocal phrase chop.
